Motorcoach Safety

Best Tours & Travel enjoys the highest standards of safety

Best Tours & Travel operates in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Our motorcoaches utilize the latest in motorcoach technology, such as speed governing, GPS, and Electronic Logging Devices to help assure full compliance of best safety practices. We regularly evaluate our drivers’ performances and ensure that they receive regular safety and customer service training. We take pride in our fleet of vehicles and make sure they are inspected upon departure and return of each trip as well as performing all regularly scheduled preventative maintenance.

California SPAB Certification

School Pupil Activity Bus (SPAB) are commercial buses outside of typical school buses which are hired to transport students. SPAB certification is required for all school-related functions within the grades of Kindergarten – 12th grade, including grad nights, senior trips, athletic events, after-school programs, or any event sponsored by the school. Best Tours’ motor coaches are inspected annually and certified by the California Highway Patrol for school use (SPAB).

Best Tours’ SPAB-certified drivers undergo rigorous training through a California state-certified instructor. After taking the required 35-hour SPAB certificate course, drivers receive their certification only after successful completion of both a written test and driving exam. Our SPAB-certified drivers are committed to maintaining the highest level of safety standards possible.

Best Tours provides schools in California with quality, SPAB-certified buses that are licensed, fully insured, and CHP inspected. Our in-house team of highly qualified technicians inspect each coach before all trips. This helps Best Tours to offer assurance that every precaution is taken to achieve a safe and comfortable ride for everyone on board. Whether you’re looking for transportation to the big game or booking for an all-day field trip, Best Tours & Travel can meet all your school’s SPAB-transportation needs.
