Agenda:

July 22, 2024

We depart from Fresno at 7:00 a.m. for Las Vegas, Nevada, with two rest stops enroute. Upon arrival we will check-in for two nights lodging at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino located in the center of the Las Vegas strip. Our two night stay is at one of the original center Strip resorts with a classic lounge, fine-dining and showgirls that are a tribute to the Old Vegas era. There’s always a good time to be had at this world-famous resort. The lively casino and shows are breathtaking, and the food is impressive. Relax at the pool or spend the day shopping for a special something fit for a night on the town. Once checked in, you can enjoy your evening exploring the local Las Vegas attractions at your leisure.

July 23, 2024

At 7:00 a.m., we’ll depart Las Vegas and be on our way to experience a wild west adventure at the Grand Canyon West Rim. Enroute, sit back and relax in comfort and style on board our luxurious motor coach equipped with panoramic vista windows and enjoy a first-class sightseeing experience.

At the Grand Canyon, we will visit the Hualapai Indian Country and take advantage of the many photo opportunities with our hosts, the Hualapai Indians in full tribal dress (subject to availability) as they perform traditional tribal dances.

Experience the ancient geological rock formations of the Grand Canyon from Guano Point, a pyramid point made of rock. As you take in the sights and sounds of your surroundings, be prepared to be awestruck by the views from this utterly unique lookout point. You’ll see remnants of a historic tram that stretched 8,800 feet across the canyon to a guano mine. For the more adventurous,  hike and climb to the top of the rock pile on the promontory point. You’ll be rewarded with an amazing 360-degree view of the Colorado River snaking its way through the bottom of the Canyon.

We’ll also enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Grand Canyon from Eagle Point. As lifelike as its name, this point has been shaped over millions of years to resemble a majestic Eagle with its wings spread across the Canyon walls. While there, you can experience the Grand Canyon Skywalk where you can enjoy lunch at the Skywalk Café overlooking the Grand Canyon, for a truly unique dining experience. Afterward, walk across the horseshoe shaped, crystal clear glass bridge that sits nearly 4000 feet above the Colorado River. You’ll have a clear view of the majestic bounty of mother nature in the Grand Canyon. If the idea of standing on glass has you weak in the knees, know that the foundation is strong enough to support about 71 million pounds. That is the equivalent of 71 fully loaded 747 airplanes!

Following our adventure at the Grand Canyon, we’ll return to Las Vegas by late afternoon. Your last evening in Las Vegas is at your leisure, where you can indulge in legendary cuisine, take in a show, or if the casino action strikes your fancy, play your lucky numbers at the gaming table or max bet on the slots. Whatever your heart’s desire, you’re sure to find it in Las Vegas.

July 24, 2024
