Join Best Tours as we travel to Hearst Castle. From experiencing what life was like as a guest of W. R. Hearst to exploring his personal collection of rare and ancient works of art, encounter the majesty and beauty of this historical treasure first-hand with a guided Hearst Castle tour. Upon arrival we will start our experience at The Hearst Castle Theater. The Hearst Castle Theater at the Hearst Castle Visitor Center is a five-story screen theater showing the resident film “Hearst Castle – Building the Dream.”

“Hearst Castle – Building the Dream” is a movie that was produced exclusively for the Hearst Castle Theater. Breathtaking original cinematography combined with vintage clips and stills from the 1920s and 30s allows the construction and history of the Castle to come to life on a five-story screen. At the conclusion of the movie, we will then take a bus to the Castle to begin your guided tour of The Grand Rooms. Best for first-time visitors, this overview of Hearst Castle offers an itinerary through the main building called Casa Grande: the Assembly Room, Refectory, Morning Room, Billiard Room and Theater, Gardens, Neptune Pool and Roman Pool.

The Grand Rooms Tour is 60 minutes long and includes approximately 140 steps, both up and down, and 2/3-mile walk.

We will have a rest stop enroute.

Arrival at Hearst Castle for your movie and tour.

Following our tour, we’ll depart Hearst Castle for Cambria. Upon arrival in Cambria you’ll have approximately 2 hours at your leisure.

Departing Cambria at approximately 4 p.m. for Fresno

We should arrive back in Fresno at 7 p.m.
